These handmade walnut wood scrapers are great for scraping, gathering, and dividing dough for breads, rolls, pastries, and more! I love to bake bread, and so I know that this tool is a gamechanger; it makes scraping and dividing your dough so easy and clean.
These particular dough scrapers are even more special, as I make them from domestic walnut hardwood remnants/offcuts sourced from local studios, cut and shape and sand them by hand, and finish them by hand with a beautiful, low-lustre beeswax-and-mineral oil finish. The walnut is very light, almost an amber colour, and has a wonderful sheen.
Before finishing, I also wet each piece to raise the grain and then re-sand down the fibres, to ensure that the wood stays smooth and soft-feeling even after you wash and clean the scraper.
