Handcarved Earrings

Earrings based on the leaves of native Ontario trees.

All my earrings are carved in the warm, soft-toned wood of the basswood tree, also native to Ontario. Basswood lumber takes gouges well and is very lightweight, and its delicate colour and smooth, barely visible grain gives carvings an elegant, subtle look.
