Chunky "Worry Stone" Herb Stripper

Dimensions: 1.5-2" width, 2-2.5" height, 3/8" thickness.

A chunky variation on my handmade herb strippers, which will help you strip leaves off of various herb stems, and make kitchen prep a lot easier! Compared to my regular 1/4" thick herb strippers, at 3/8" this slightly thicker version is even more satisfying to "worry" in your hand, and strips leaves just as cleanly. The walnut for these pieces was from an especially lovely and rich-coloured board, and the hand-shaped edges are smooth and soft to the touch. The varied hole sizes allow for different stem thicknesses, from thyme to cilantro to mint.

Like everything else in my shop, I make these strippers by hand from wooden remnants that I source from local Toronto studios. I cut, drill, and sand the shapes, wet them to raise the grain, smooth even further, and finally finish with Clapham's Salad Bowl Finish, which is a blend of beeswax and mineral oil. To take care of your herb stripper, gently handwash with water & mild soap, and occasionally rub lightly with mineral oil. Please do not soak!
